According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance, China led G-20 clean energy investments in 2009 for the first time ever, driven primarily by ambitious, mandatory targets for wind and solar power and the ample availability of domestic credit. At the same time, China is committed to a 40-45% reduction in intensity of CO2 emissions per unit of GDP by 2020 compared to 2005 levels, and is on track to become the leading global 'green energy economy'. This panel will examine what companies and governments must do to stay in the race.
